Dr. Janita Heslup Bah is a highly accomplished scholar and community leader with a strong commitment to improving the lives of marginalized communities. Originally from Chicago, Dr. Bah has a diverse educational background, having earned degrees from Clark Atlanta University, the University of Central Florida, and Tennessee State University.
Throughout her career, Dr. Bah has demonstrated a deep passion for serving underrepresented groups. She has worked extensively with nonprofit organizations that serve women, refugees, and immigrants, advocating for their rights and providing essential support services. Currently, Dr. Bah serves as the Program Coordinator for the Refugee and Forced Migration Center at Spelman College, where she continues her work in support of refugees and forced migrants.
