Travel Subsidies

Students, low income and early career researchers can apply for travel subsidies to attend IASFM20. IASFM has limited funding to support the travel and participation of presenters only. Funding is subject to availability. Unfortunately, IASFM is not in a position to be able to fully fund anyone’s travel. Typically, award amounts are between CAD$300-$800, so individuals will need to continue to look for other sources of funding support.

The submission deadline for financial assistance is 12 September, 2024. Award recipients will be notified by 30 September, 2024. We may end up with a waiting list, so those on that list will be notified as funding becomes available.

Additional information:

  • Financial support will be processed as a reimbursement after the conference. Further information about the process will be sent to successful applicants. Eligible expenses include: travel and accommodation, registration fees. IASFM membership fees are not eligible.
  • You do not have to pay and register until you know if your financial assistance request has been approved, but confirmation to attend the conference is necessary so please do indicate your intent to attend in the meantime.
