Plan your travel to attend the IASFM 2025 Conference, here are some recommendations of transit point to Yogyakarta (YIA):

Departure to Yogyakarta

Notes:
There are typically no direct flights from Europe to Yogyakarta. Travelers usually transit in Jakarta, Bali, or Singapore before connecting to Yogyakarta.

Bali (DPS) and Jakarta (CGK), with additional options in Singapore (SIN) and Kuala Lumpur (KUL).

*Direct Flights: Some airlines offer direct flights to Yogyakarta (YIA) from Bali or Jakarta.

Transfer from/to Airport

Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) is an international airport located 43 km of the city center. It is the main airport for the western part of the region and serves as hubs for international tourist to Yogyakarta and surrounding cities.

You can use DAMRI, a transport service that departs every sixty minutes. DAMRI offers several pick up points, such as:

  • Terminal Condongcatur from 6AM until 7 PM
  • Sleman City Hall from 7 AM until 7 PM
  • Rest Area Ambarketawang from 7 AM until 4 PM

SatelQu is a shuttle service from Yogyakarta International Airport, offering various destination and departure options. Departure schedules from YIA to the city center include several destinations such as:

  • UC Hotel UGM, Satoria Hotel, Grand Orchid Hotel, Grand Diamond Hotel, Student Park Hotel, and many more.

Online taxis can be booked directly via apps like GOJEK, GRAB, or Maxim. You can also get official assistance at the customer lounge in the airport arrival area.

* All transportation options, including DAMRI, SatelQu, online taxis, and rental services, are available at the arrival gate. To reach the pick-up point, simply exit the arrival gate and head towards the airport lobby where all transportation options are accessible.

If you want to use the airport train, just go one floor up from the arrival gate on the first floor. After reaching the mezzanine level, follow the directional signs to the train station until you arrive at the departure entrance. Here are some tips you may find helpful:

  • We recommend booking train tickets in advance via the KA Bandara or Access by KAI app, as seats are limited and tickets often sell out if you book them at the last minute.
  • If you wish to travel without a stop at Wates station, you can purchase express tickets.
  • Since regular trains don’t assign seat numbers, board the train 15 minutes before departure to choose your preferred seat.
  • After arriving at Tugu Yogyakarta station as the final stop, you can transit to the hotel by online taxis services available at the exit gate of the station.
