Liliana Jubilut Biography

Liliana Lyra Jubilut holds a PhD and a Masters’ Degree in International Law from Universidade de São Paulo and a LLM in International Legal Studies from NYU School of Law. She is a Professor at Universidade Católica de Santos where she coordinates both the UNHCR Sergio Vieira de Mello Chair and a Research Group on Human Rights and Vulnerabilities. She was a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School and a Visiting Fellow at the Refugee Law Initiative, and has taken summer courses at Harvard University and the University of Oxford. She is a Member of IOM´s Migration Research Leaders’ Syndicate, of the Global Academic Interdisciplinary Network (GAIN) from the Global Compact on Refugees, and of the Academic Council on the Global Compact for Migration. She is also Publishing High-Level Adviser for the IOM. She has been working with refugees, forced migrants and human rights’ issues since 1999.
