Due to unforeseen circumstances our original conference host (Moi University, Kenya) had to withdraw their proposal for IASFM20. Rather than lose time in re-opening the call for proposals, the Executive reviewed the shortlisted candidates from the original call. There was a very strong second choice, also voted on by the IASFM membership, that we felt would be an exciting solution.
We’re very happy to announce that the next IASFM conference (IASFM20) will be held on January 20-23, 2025, in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia, hosted by the Resilience Development Initiative – Urban Refugees Research Group (RDI-UREF), in collaboration with the Anthropology Dept., Faculty of Cultural Studies, Universitas Gajah Mada, Indonesia.
The call for papers will be available this coming fall 2023
